Sherry
Berger Sherry obtained her bachelor's degree in Communication Arts/Illustration/Graphic Design 1996 from Moore College in Philadelphia. Her leadership experiences include Graphic Designer/Supervisor at KYW-3 CBS Television Philadelphia and Graphic Designer at ECRI (formerly the Emergency Care Research Institute). Sherry also works as a graphics designer/art exhibition/charity fundraiser for the (no name) Art Group. Sherry has spent the last 10 years exploring almost 30 different countries and volunteering abroad teaching Art and English to children in underprivileged areas. She has contributed her skills to the following nonprofits: First Book/First Artists Philadelphia Children’s Literacy Program, Philabundance, Trees for Life, Mercy Corps, Mariposa Azul (Costa Rica), Down Syndrome Association of Delaware – Buddy Run, Lifestart Foundation (Vietnam) and Cross Cultural Solutions (India). Sherry masterminded the creative expression of Recipe 4 Success. She developed the visual content for the “Curries for a Cause” Recipe Collection, the website and all marketing materials. Sherry also coordinated Recipe 4 Success’ first fundraising event held on November 4th 2006 that pulled in over $1800 in one evening. In 2007 Sherry will be volunteering abroad with plans to run an artist workshop for underprivileged women in Africa this July as well as scouting young girls for Recipe 4 Success’ Plus Scholarship program during her travel.
