Plus Scholarship Program
Recipe 4 Success’ objective is to increase the number of girls attending school by providing educational assistance and by eliminating the disparities families face that deter their daughters from achieving economic and social advancement in society. The program covers not only the cost of tuition and books, but also:

  • Compensates families who depend on their daughter’s income for economic sustainability.
  • Provides nutritional supplements to enhance cognitive development.
  • Offers soft-support such as providing tutors to assist girls with homework and college preparatory exams.

Recipe 4 Success selects girls that already demonstrate a drive to succeed but don’t have the financial or socioeconomic means to finish their high school or college degree. She must also consistently rank in the top of her class and score in the 30th percentile of all state-mandated exams in order to maintain funding through college.

Individuals, educational institutions or corporations can enjoy sponsoring girls in high school or college for 12 months to 8 years.. Sponsors will receive updates on how she is progressing in school and can write letters or emails of encouragement.

Launchpad Program
Recipe 4 Success' vision is to see an increase of girls attending college and entering the real world with increased confidence and poise.

In connection with the Plus Scholarship program, the Launchpad program was developed to aid a girl’s transition from college graduate to career woman as well as encourage younger girls to begin exploring career pathways. The Launchpad program assists and supports girls in career and leadership development through:

  • A big-sister program that gives girls the opportunity to learn and shadow other successful women and to develop a network of support with likeminded, career-oriented women. The long term goal is for the network to develop into an alumni database that will support an environment amongst women and students for job postings/openings as well as develop a base of future supports of and donors to the organization.
  • Informal lunch meetings where young female professionals can speak to students of their experience in the career world and students can ask questions and explore different career fields.

  • A program that supports a young woman’s first step toward employment by sponsoring their attendance at career workshops, career fairs and leadership workshops, providing a career counseling and leadership development resource center and maintaining a bulletin board of vacant entry-level positions in various industries.

Individual and in-kind donations from institutions and corporations are always in need to cover field trips and the cost of providing a resource center for girls to do homework in or going over interview or college application questions with a volunteer counselor.
