Catherine’s rich career history in academia expands for over a decade. She received her PhD in English (Creative Writing) from Florida State University in 1996. She is professor and Director of the Creative Writing Program at Purchase College, SUNY and has also taught at Manhattanville College’s Graduate Writing and Advanced Fiction programs, Pace University and Gotham’s Writer Workshop. Published novels include Dry Fire and Postcards to Father Abraham as well as a slew of short stories, microfiction and poetry collections in Pleiades, Woodrider, Women on Women, Texas Journal of Women and the Law, Inkwell magazine, Cornell University Press, and California Quarterly.

Catherine’s volunteer history includes one year in Paraguay serving under the Peace Corps and harboring stray or recovering animals from the tragic streets of NYC for the past 10 years.

Catherine is Recipe 4 Success’ eye, ears and mouth in the academic community and aids in the marketing of fundraising events. She is also the advisor and composition editor of most publications that Recipe 4 Success distributes.
